CiNDeReLLa's 'PuMpKiN CaRRiaGe'

I was surfing around and found this video @ YouTube which I think is quite funny. Hahaha..while I watching it, reminds me of a pic I took in Ipoh's Kinta City..looks exactly the same as the one in the video.

Well, enjoy the video. Sorry for those who don't understand Cantonese. You won't be able to enjoy this..

Dada's BeStie's WeDDinG

So, the big day started with Dada & his big bro going off early in the morning to help out. Yes..need I remind everyone again...that Dada was the BEST MAN. I took the chance to catch some beauty sleep so that I will look wonderful @ night to meet all of Dada's friends. They set off..and from what Dada came back to tell me..he enjoyed himself..saying that it was fun & alot of customs & rituals that we should take note of when it's OUR big day.

Night, we went off to the venue..which was more like a community hall, I suppose that's how things are like in small towns like Taiping. Luckily, Dada agreed on my plan to NOT have dinner banquet in Taiping, but KL instead. No way you are gonna marry me in a 'Dewan Masyarakat' ok! Anyway, the entertainment for the night was great fun. I think despite the venue, it was an enjoyable night for all.

The groom, started with a funny joke at the entrance while welcoming us. It was raining..so he said.. 'Sorry ah, pai seh..kiam siap eh lang si a ne kuan lo' It was funny coz while I was getting into the car, I told Dada the exact same thing jokingly! He's a cool guy. I like him..coz he's honest..hahaha...his wife is nice as well..I decided that I like this couple most among the rest of Dada's friends..(yeah, well coz through their wedding, Dada learned a lot of stuff)

2 cool people meant for each other~~Mr & Mrs Chan
Mr & Mrs Chan, Mr & Mrs Chua (middle ones) & soon-to-be Mr & Mrs Tan (left front & back) & soon-to-be Mr & Mrs Sim (right front & back)
The Sim Brothers Back home after the wedding dinner Have you seen a Drunken Angel before??

Now, let me explain why am I always drinking red wine & transformed myself from an ELEGANT ANGEL -> DRUNKEN ANGEL.This is because Dada is always the Nice Guy to 'entertain' people & can't refuse any drink given to him. As he needs to drive, I don't approve even A DROP of alcohol. So, I'll have to take those drinks. I can take it, though Red Wine is not by far my favourite drink..but then..they do not have Midori..Malibu..Kahlua or Cocktails served. So...CHEERS EVERYONE!!!

X'Mas SHoPPinG

After the dinner on the 16th, we decided to spend another night in Seremban. Woke up late, around 2PM. Told the receptionist we wanted to extend & then went off to explore a bit of Seremban.
A little wash 1st for our BaBy VioS b4 we head off
All fresh & ready for X'mas Shopping!!
Off we went, 1st to tame our growling stomach before anything else. Then, went shopping around @ JUSCO. Found a GUESS shop..looked around & found THE ONE!! Yes..I've made my pick. Dada was ready..& even had his credit card out..but then..there was a defect on the unit that the salesgirl showed me. Then, the other display unit..also had a defect on it..I just couldn't accept to buy something that is NOT PERFECT from the beginning...so I left the shop sulking...Dada cheered me up by saying we could stop by @ Ipoh's Kinta City where there's also a GUESS shop. If we still can't find it there..we'll go to KL...(see why I love him sooo much??)

Then, we continued to walk around..until we saw something...it was a bridal fair. Being the girlish me always dreaming of the perfect wedding, I went to have a look. It was none other than the bridal shop that the couple on the 16th went to..one thing that attracted me the most is the ANGEL concept that they offer. That angel theme is a MUST HAVE thing for me as I'm always my Dada's Angel...hence, we sat for hours & hours there while the salesgirl patiently answered all my queries. I was satisfied with the package as well as the service...so..Dada gave a deposit of RM300..& transformed me into an ANGEL (for a few minutes, then back to the normal DEVIL in me)

My ANGEL package..date on pics to be taken..?? TBA

Next day, we left Seremban & went on our journey to Taiping, Dada's hometown. His bestie can't wait to meet up with him..as he's the so-called BEST MAN..Before reaching Taiping, there's just one more task to be done...yes...my search for the PERFECT GUESS BAG..Found it!! I checked & checked several times..asked the salesgirl to wipe & polish till I'm satisfied...& Dada paid for it...thanx Da...here's my 2007 X'mas present...

Finally!!! I found my GUESS bag...

SeReMBaN WeDDinG

A lot of things happened during my 6 days leave. It has all come to an end & it will be back to work again for me tomorrow..:(

1st of all, my trip to Seremban with Dada was great. The wedding on 16th was great, followed by Dada's bestie's wedding on the 20th was even better. I could tell Dada had fun as well, especially meeting up with his best mates from uni. I set him free..to enjoy himself with his friends. Let him have all the time & chance to learn about weddings, dos & don'ts...etc. He did learn a thing or two..which led him to giving me this 'surprise' as well...which I couldn't help but smile....

JoLiN DisaPPoinTMenT

2nite, went to a Jolin Tsai concert at City of Entertainment. Was anticipating a very hot, sexy Jolin to entertain me. However, it was a disappointment. The clothes were not the WOW kind of sexy & neither were they hot. All her outfits were any girl-next-door could wear & get.

I think the whole night, she sang less than 15 songs & at several times, I lost interest. My cool colleague beside me, even caught her missing a beat or two & forgetting the lyrics. How UNPROFESSIONAL!

The worst part was, she was so snobbish. I went backstage to see her take pics with several VIP guests. She took 2...2 pics only & ciao~~ Super Lan C! Well, Dada made a remark that I help but feel good.."cheh, my Dada prettier than her la, who wants to take pics with her oh? I only take pics of my Dada.." Muaks..isn't he sweet? He always know what is the right thing to say at the right time.. ;)

As I surfed the net back here at our love nest, I found this really cool quote by my bestie Diana, which I find very true:

"I want a man that is like a purse: looks good on your arm, carries your things,
and hopefully matches your shoes"

I think it's cool, that's every gal's goal in life..to find that man..well, I'm sure she found him in Sean, just as what I found in Dada..

YeSSSS....

2day, I was stressed @ work. So many things to do, so little time. As if that wasn't enough, some idiot just have to add some more to it. I freaking hate that idiot who sends sms & emails just to annoy me. I HATE HIM!!

Then..it's always my Dada who has the charms & abilities to cheer me up. He did something brilliant today. & that's y I'm in an OK mood now. Love you, dear!

Just as I blogged the other day, I KNEW that my ex will try to do something. And as usual, I'm right. I call this women's instinct. As I logged in to Friendster to check what's up, he did the "send a smile" thingy. So sorry, I don't even want a smile from u. Just leave me alone! As I have said previously, I don't wanna have anything to do with him ,so I just ignored him.

In another couple of days,I'll be going on my leave, which is not really to relax as we need to attend 2 weddings, one in the southern region, another up north. All within 4 days' time. Dada is the CHOSEN ONE to be the BEST MAN for his buddy's wedding up north. I've been giving him a hard time since knowing this news. I teased him that normally wedding couples choose those uglier/ less attractive than him/ her to be the bridesmaid & best man as they won't want them stealing their limelight for the most important day of their life. Hahaha...(well, I now know why my friends never asked me to be their bridesmaid :-p )

Well Dada, you'll ALWAYS be the Best Man is my life. So, I expect you'll gain some experience on what needs to be done on a wedding day,OK? ;)

NoT So X'Mas MooD (yet)

Less than 2 weeks till X'mas, however, I'm more in a stressed mood rather than X'mas at the moment. The recent weeks have been hectic, as we are all rushing for year end as well as coming year's promotions.

Was pissed off as well yesterday, as I had to listen to 2 sessions of old virgin & bulldog barking (for different things). Yet, the 2 things do not really linked to me. However, it DID spoil my mood. Especially the old virgin's preaching. She's so unreasonable. No wonder she's still a virgin at the old age of 40++.

However, everything turned OK once Dada gave me the greenlight to buy whatever I want at night! We went shopping after a short steamboat session with his fellow "B group" people. A once a month gathering thingy. We rushed to FWP & within that short 45 mins or so, I bought 4 tops! I absolutely love those colours & mind you, I have not shopped for clothes to add into my wardrobe for quite sometime. If I remember correctly, I think since coming back from KK in early Nov. Which is a WHOLE month now..So, I deserved it! I need all this to keep me sane..Shall shop for more after I get off work today. I start my leave on Sunday, with a wedding dinner at Seremban to look forward to, as well as exploring more of the Southern region...So, I'll be OK...

HaPPY BiRthDaY BaoBei

glitter graphics
Free Glitter Graphics

My dearest, dearest baobei, turned 10 yesterday. Unfortunately, am unable to celebrate it with her. For as long as I could remember..I think the last time we got to celebrate with her was in 2004, before I started working.

Every year, I ask her to hope for the best..that perhaps, maybe next year, I can take time off to go back & celebrate with her. However, I have been a very bad aunt, as I'm unable to do so. Sometimes, I pity her, as her childhood will not be filled with happy memories that includes birthday bashes every year. I feel guilty sometimes, for leaving home & working sooo far away. As if there aren't any good jobs in KK for me.

I miss being able to see her grow day by day. Though I'm not her mum & I do not need to bear direct & full responsibilty. However, I still feel sad sometimes when I think of her & realise how much she means to me & how much I miss her. She's such a dear & have been trained with solid foundation by ME. She knows & understands me so well. Very observant & smart too.

There was one incident that struck me by surprise. One nite after dinner, as I was lazying on the couch watching TV, I felt food stuck in between my teeth. Was struggling with my tongue trying to clear it. Without a word at all, she handed me a toothpick! I was so shocked! She's so "seng muk" that I really can't help but love her.

Here's another story:

The previous trip home, ASTRO reprogrammed & had all their channels changed. She handed me a list that she did all by herself & said: "Gu, Astro channels changed liao, but I made you a list of all the channels that you watch. You can refer to this":

Wah Lai Toi - 311
TVB Xing He - 314
AXN - 701
ESPN - 812
Star Sports - 813

& if I missed out anything, you can check for the channel number in 100..."

Yes indeed, those are my favourite channels! At a tender age of 10, she is able to make a list according to my preference & even add in the last remark, if there's anything else that you need, you can always refer to Channel 100...So responsible & pays attention to details. Don't you think? Even adults would be careless & miss out a thing or two. But not her...Dada was with me at that time, even HE was shocked. Isn't she sweet? I was so touched! How could I not love this child? She knows my preferences so well. Everything that she prepares for in anticipation of my arrival back home, is spot on. She's such a darling!

Baobei..Gugu miss you dearly..Happy birthday, hope you enjoyed yourself & sorry the telephone conversation was short..but definitely sweet.

duNNo wHaT 2 ThinK

As I was on my way to Bakery to online, I was thinking if I have anything to blog today. Hmm..nothing much happening except work, work & work. I thought I had nothing to write about until this...

As I logged in to my Friendster account, as usual, I always like to know who has viewed my profile recently. Then, I came across a very familiar name & that photo..reminds me of someone...MY EX-BF!

Just thinking of him sends shivers down my spine. He was so controlling, I didn't have any freedom, can't talk to a guy, can't even smile at a guy, can't even joke & be friends with another guy at all!! I remembered how unhappy I was being with him.

Then, after nearly 8 years not keeping in touch with him, he comes back to haunt me. Well, frankly speaking, I don't want anything to do with him. Gosh, I think just by looking at the pics I uploaded into Friendster, he would be able to guess where I am working; he'll know who among our classmates last met up with me; most importantly..I hope he knows I'm happily 'soon-to-be-married'...to Dada..

Gosh, I sound paranoid..all because I have been reading a novel on a girl who witnessed a murder and is placed under a witness protection program. I imagine myself being her..and AS IF after leaving high school I have a new identity...Well, looks like he's happily involved in a relationship as well...(too bad I'm the prettier one :-p & Dada is definitely the more charming one & knows how to treat a lady..)

CruiSe tRiaL RuN

As spoken this is a "dry run" of the "Grand Honeymoon Cruise ". We arrived at Port Klang after around 2hrs ++ drive. There was a huge crowd at the check-in counter. So, as 'VIPs', I left the queuing up to the "small potatoes" while Dada & I went around snapping pics.

Leng Lui posing with Star Cruise - Super Star Virgo
We had to wait till around 6.30PM to finally get our key cards and it's mandatory that we fill in the membership application form. Since membership is free & it will help increase the membership database..we went ahead...

Doing our part to increase membership database + our cabin key cards

After queuing up to clear custom, we finally got a full view of the ship, which of course, isn't as magnificent as the other fleets in the Star Cruise family, but well..not bad for now. We posed to take a pic, with the evening sunset in the background, as well as the ship, it makes it even more obvious that we look good together..;)

A beautiful match made in Heaven

The check in procedure was simple at the entrance of the ship. The scary thing was that we had to leave our IC with them while on board, which to me, I feel abit uncomfortable. After checking in, the 1st thing we did was check out our room. I expected it to be small but not really THAT small. It was a double decker, with a small tv hanging mid air, and the toilet is the exact same as a toilet in a plane. This is a far cry from the "balcony-seaview-king sized bed" romantic cruise that I want. Well, I'll have to get that treatment from Star Cruise's bigger fleet of ships. Not Wasa Queen!

Later on, we went for dinner. The buffet had a GREAT variety of sumptuos food. The service was fast & good. We filled up & waited for the ship to start its journey @ approximately 8PM. The "entertainment" centres open @ around 9.30PM. We both do not "game" so we just took our time, loitering around & watching other ppl "game". We went to the outer deck area, which we initially had wanted to find a spot to do the "Titanic" thing. However, there wasn't a suitable place for it so we didn't get to do it. Hehehe...the rest of the nite was spent walking around, having buffet supper & watching a bit of tele (as I couldn't miss Amazing Race).

We finally had a bit of sleep at around 4AM & b4 I know it, it's time to wake up for breakfast & check out! It was really short...but sweet as we spent out 2Y9M anniversary on board. As I said b4, this is just a dry run of what a REAL GRAND HONEYMOON CRUISE will be...Dada, hear that??

Ta da~~That's the end of our 12hr cruise experience!

ThouGHts..JuZ ThouGHts..

Juz got back from leave and juz managed to screen through my hundreds of e-mails. While I sit waiting for Dada to call me & say it's dinner time, I take time off to reflect on the many things that happened during my short 4 days leave. Shall blog on the details of cruise adventure + shopping sprees another day (with pretty pics included).

Had dinner with my family in KL last nite. It was just a "Long time no see, let's get together" dinner nite out. Picked my aunt's usual favourite restaurant at nearby Pandan Jaya. My cousin Ah Dee, caught in the rush hour traffic, joined us nearly 1 hour later. I'm abit sadden to get a confirmation from him that he's SERIOUS about migrating to either Melbourne or Adelaide (where he used to study & met my soon to be "biew sou").

Before dinner at Aunt Helen's place, she casually mentioned this. She looked sad & disappointed. Poor thing, she has 3 kids & yet 2 are planning to leave her. I feel sad for her as well..(My ever-understanding Dada, comforted me by offering we could go visit Aunt Helen more often..:) My other cousin, who is stationed in Penang, is planning to migrate to USA. Can't understand the sudden "MIGRATING RUSH" of the 2 brothers.

These 2 brothers, used to grow up with me. I was the only girl within the group of 4 of us (both of them, my brother & myself). Together, we had endless fights, going to (diff) schools together, compete on exam results & exchanged endless, endless stories. How have we all grown up into separate directions and our paths hardly ever cross anymore?

Ah Dee at the end of the nite, asked me, "Hey, I forgot to ask, what's the occasion?" I answered, "Nothing, just that we have not met up for quite sometime, so I arranged for this get-together" He said,"But mum said you have something special to announce. Seriously, did I missed that part? You guys getting married??" "Nolah, come on, do we really need special reasons just for a get-together?"

Hmm..speaking about marriages & weddings, just saw another couple's wedding pics. I'm happy & abit sad at the same time, coz my "ANGEL" idea has been stolen! However, I hope no one will copy the idea of my IDEAL MARRIAGE PROPOSAL (well, a friend once told me he read about the same plot in a newspaper just weeks after I told him about my much fantasized proposal scene). Of coz, Dada knows it too..but I have no idea when he'll pop the question. We shall wait & see...
Hmmmm...get it??

DaDa's 2Y9M aNNiVerSarY GiFt foR Me

Last month when we were back in KK, I saw something really nice & really suits me. So, I decided to get dada to buy it for me. It's a little gift fit just for me..HIS ANGEL...Didn't get the chance to blog it till now...it's one of the best gift I have "given him a chance to buy for me" after 2 years & 9 months...

SWEET ANGEL = ME!

MY CeLeBriTies LooK-aLiKe ParT II

If you didn't notice earlier, let me tell you. Of the 2 times I tried this, Sammi Cheng's photo came up. Yes, when I was in college and when she was at the peak of her career, I used to like her. Mind you, it's USED to. Not anymore..I didn't believe it the first round, that's why I did another round. But the results came out the same. The first round, it was 80% as it was a more recent picture. The second one was taken a few months earlier than the 1st. Hence, dada's conclusion of me resembling Sammi Cheng is...I look MORE & MORE like her as time goes by...arrrgggghhhhh...how could he say that???

CRuiSe TriP

Received a call from dada few days back while at work. He said his dept is organising a cruise trip next Monday (19th Nov). I have been planning to go on a cruise trip since I dunno when. So now since they have someone organising and the rates are incredibly cheap, OF COZ I wanna go! But then, it's not going to be the initially planned " honeymoon trip" for just the 2 of us. It is also not those 4D+3N travelling from Singapore to Phuket. We'll be on the ship for around 12hrs only. The itinerary will be as below:
19th November (also happens to be Mummy Darling's Birthday):
4PM: Coach taking us down from GHR to Port Klang
7.30PM: Board the cruise ship
8PM: Cruise departs from port
All night long...do whatever you want

Next Morning:
8AM: Arrives at Port Klang to disembark

By the looks of it, seems like the cruise ship does not have time to go too far away from Port Klang at all before coming back again. Wonder if I have the chance to really FEEL it before I have to disembark..The way I look at it, this will be an introduction to what my dada is supposed to plan for us...a trip to any of these will do. Dada, it's true ANYTHING HERE will do...

MoRe ThinGs aDDinG uP to mY X'MaS WisHLisT

As I stared into the computer screen thinking of taking a break from work, I rested my fingers gently on the keyboard.. Then I looked at my arms & suddenly realized something. Looking at the poor bracelets on my right arm, I feel kesian~~ both were gifts from Dada. 1st one, was my 2005 birthday gift, 2nd one, 2006 New Year Gift from him. They were both really lovely, that's why I decided to wear both together as I couldn't decide which to wear, which to forgo. Both initially had hearts attached to it. Fast forward 2 years, it's not exactly its original shape. The ornaments on them are not complete anymore. I just wonder why..it's always the heart that dropped. The little bell on one of them remains intact.

I vaguely remember Dada saying he'll buy another bracelet for me when I realized the hearts dropped & got really upset..I really can't recall when he said that but I'm sure he did! So, I searched for some ideas from Tiffany & Co.

This lovely bracelet could be the BEST replacement Simple = beautiful This locket is lovely as well!

I wonder which one will dada get for me..?? Am planning a huge shopping spree during my next leave, which is 2 weeks away. Well, I should, rite? X'mas is just round the corner. I'm in the mood already! KL, get ready for me!

HappY StarT to a NeW DaY

Last nite, dada was working nite shift, so I went to bed alone.
This morning, I was woken up by dada, who just got off work. He pampered me by buying my favourite breakfast ~ Breakfast Muffin + Latte with the table set, the TV channel has also been switched to my favourite morning show - the Breakfast Show on NTV7. Even the latte had just the right amount of sugar in it already! I feel loved!

I really thank God that I found him! He also promised that he'll get me a handbag for X'mas. I've started searching, & I found this. I had initially thought of preparing a long "X'mas Wish List" & dada can choose anything from it to buy me. But then...this will be it, unless I find more & more stuff that can also be considered...then the wish list will come your way, dear...

Dada..you know what to do, rite? **wink**wink**

BaCK to WorK

Unfortunately, all good things will need to come to an end...my long-awaited 10 days break to go back to KK has ended. Now, I'm back at work.

Well, just as I have previously mentioned, Dada said this is Life...c'est la vie! I'll just have to keep myself occupied, and wish that time flies & before I know it, it's time to go home again!

As I was busy holding my tears yesterday right before boarding at the airport, I realised something. There are several places, that we visit in life, some frequently, some not so often, that has the magic of having the very extreme happiness & very extreme sadness all under one roof:-

1. Airports:
~ arrival of loved ones = happiness
~ departure of loved ones = sadness
2. Hospitals:
~ the birth of new born babies = happiness
~ the death of loved ones = sadness
3. Churches:
~ baptism, wedding masses = happiness
~ funeral masses = sadness
Very often in life, we are at the juncture between happiness & sadness. Be it happiness or sadness, the most important thing is how we choose to face it. I'm proud to say that, this time I shed the LEAST tears when coming back to face WORK & put mum, dad & baobei behind for a while. ~sob~sob~

OpeRaSi CharMaiNe SHeH iN KK

Mum & Dad having fun at Putera
Baobei & I at Putera
Dada at Warisan Square
My Charles & Keith Bag
Have been home for a week now. Unfortunately, need to be back at work in 2 days' time..:(

Being home these couple of times, I have realised that KK is not that "ulu" actually. I won't mind working & staying here. Everything that KL has, we've got it here as well. Well, maybe a couple of ringgit more expensive, but that's it. I enjoy myself shopping here as much as I do in KL. However, mum said the pay here is a BIG DIFFERENCE. So, please, don't even think about coming back here to work..~sigh~ But mum, I miss u & dad, u know?

After so many days of rest, have finished "Drive of Life". I really, really loooove Charmaine Sheh. No matter what kind of character she plays in any TVB drama series, I'll forever be her fan. The clothes that she wore in that series are soooo cool that I HAVE to get them (yeah yeah, call me copycat). I started with re-perming my hair again. Well, it's not exactly like hers as mine is a bit curlier, but the hairdresser said it should settle in & look more natural after a few more washes. Next, I bought some pants that I noticed her wearing as well as a bag that she carried. Bought the bag at this sorta "new" place called Warisan Square. It has an open-air design that was previously very hot & stuffy, but this trip back, it's all fully air-conditioned. (That's more like it for Puteri Lilins like me!) There's this shop called Charles & Keith selling shoes & bags from Singapore. Dada did not believe that KL doesn't have this brand but KK does (but it's true!)...hmm..don't think KK is lousy!
Spent quality time with my family. This is the actual reason why I'm back. Took them out for dinner several times. There's one night where we felt like having steamboat as it has been rainy recently in KK. Went to Putera Theatre Ballroom for the best deal in town, fresh seafood, meat, veggies eat all you can for only RM28++ per pax. For Baobei, it's even half price. We had fun, cooking & BBQing for the whole night! Well, all things would need to come to an end. Have spent quite an amount being back here. So, as dada says, we need to go back & earn more $$ before coming back again...:(

2 MoRe DaYs to Go...

All excited & prepared to go home in 2 days' time..can't wait be home & be daddy's girl & mummy's diamond daughter...(and of coz,I am always & forever will be dada's Angel). Bought the T-70 that I promised. It was a good price offered at Sg Wang, with 1GB memory, a casing & screen protector..all for RM 1,285! Several others offered around the same price, however, decided that I'm going for the service. Whoever serves me best, I'll buy it from him / her. There were a couple of them whose attitude were quite bad. As if I couldn't afford it! Really HATE ppl like that..ppl with this kind of attitude SHOULD NOT be a salesperson at all! From the beginning, I have decided that I wanted the WHITE one. However, I realised the PINK one is nice as well..but then, dada said..'Huh? U want the pink one? Then how am I (a guy) supposed to use it? People will think I'm GAY!" OK OK..for the harmony of everyone, I chose back my 1st choice..WHITE

aLL tHinGs SeT & ReaDY

With the ASTRO up & running, all electrical appliances such as Microwave, TV, DVD player, Mini Fridge & Dehumidifier purchased, we are beginning to settle down. Lastly, dada finally hung the full length mirror that I want at the side of the wardrobe last night. My favourite purchase of them all, a furry carpet from IKEA has finally had its well deserved "opening ceremony".

It's definitely a new phase in our lives. Every evening, I can't wait to get off work & rush back to our "love nest" & enjoy ourselves doing nothing much but just snuggle together cozily to watch TV. It's either to watch programs on ASTRO, or to continue our TVB series Drive of Life. After dinner which we nowadays prefer to "ta pau" back & enjoy it at our room, I'll play my role as the perfect girlfriend, clearing the dishes, throwing out the rubbish & preparing fruits for Dada as dessert.

I'm such a perfect wonderful soon-to-be wife, ain't I?

CoMinG HoMe SooN, eVeryOnE!

"It's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2..GU!"

Such a cool camera for cool people like me..

Got a call from mum again several nights ago. She can't wait to have me & Dada back home again. She's at the same time, also excited about what we'll be bringing back. Several TVB drama series that she has been going on & on for months now. Since the DVD is out, she wanted me to courier it back; but then I told her I'll watch it first..;-p

Next, there's another person who can't wait for us to be back. MY BAOBEI NIECE...she grabbed the phone from mum & said "Gugu, remember to bring your camera back" I was wondering what she's up to & asked why she needed it. She said, " It's my school concert on the 27th, remember?" Oh yes, dear..your aunt is getting old..so it really slipped out of my mind.

Have been eyeing on a particular camera model for a while now. Sony Cybershot T-70...My existing camera, a Canon..is getting old..& too bulky for my liking (A good excuse to get a new one). It was actually a X'mas present from Mum in 2004 before I started working. I still like it but the trouble with it is the batteries are getting old & after getting it fully charged, I suppose I can only take less than 10 pics before it dies off again.

Dada said we could just change the batteries...but then NOPE! I want a new one!! Further more, it's only 3.2 megapix, which is getting obsolete nowadays. Even dada's Sony Ericsson K800i is already 3.2 megapix. So how could an actual camera lose out to a handphone + camera? I'll get it, definitely. I told Baobei I'll buy a new camera to take stunning pictures of her (who loooves posing for me since 2 years old & come Dec, she'll be 10).

Next, baobei said, "Gugu, remember one more thing..to get me...." "What is it?" I have really no idea what she meant. Then she said "Huh, you've forgotten..."(sounding sad & disappointed). Then I recalled, "Oh..I know..it's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.." She added in "2..Gu, it's High School Musical 2" ~Sigh~ she HAS to be so specific...Like Aunt, like niece...*wink*wink*

OK, baobei, just ensure that you remember your dance steps & the T&C that I have briefed you b4 I get you the DVD...

NeW RooM

Have finally moved everything from my old room to the new one. However, the new room is still a mess & we have not settled down yet. The living room area is a mess & the wardrobe FOR HIM & FOR HER is also not organised. Dada has the impression that I will take up more space than him, hence, we are racing for "OCCUPATION" of space based on 1st-come-1st-served basis. Dada is getting smarter & smarter..even quicker than me, then when I give him "those" looks, he'll say,"ok..ok, this part is all yours"

There are still alot of stuff that we need to buy. Last week, have gone down to KL twice, but still unable to get all the things I need. My shopping list looks like it is not getting shorter after 2 trips last week. Have I added on more & more stuff on it, or was I not focused on buying the things on the list & instead bought other stuff? Hmmm...I just wonder...

Will be going down for the third trip today after work. Dada said to ensure that this is the LAST ONE. He doesn't want me to go down anymore with the excuse "for the new room". OK OK..I'll try & get everything done by today..

NeW ASTRO InStaLLaTioN

Have been quite busy & tired moving things & cleaning our new "love nest'. Have a lot of plans for the new room. Today, something Dada did surprised me.

At lunch time, I went over to the new room & also bought take away lunch for dada. He was at 18-18 cleaning & hanging the new curtains. I walked into the building, an ASTRO salesman someone stopped me & promoted the new promotion to me. Was very interested, took the flyers from him along with his business card to go up to Dada.

Told dada about the whole thing. He was reluctant at 1st, then I put on my charms & started convincing him. Gave him reasons as to why I'd like to install ASTRO:

EPL & other Sports related:
1. Can watch EPL matches at the comfort of our own room
2. No need to go down to mamak & inhale all those 2nd hand smoke
3. Can definitely get good seats & view to watch the match
4. Can be controlled by ourselves which match we wanna watch (if there are 2 matches going on at the same time)

Wah Lai Toi & Asian shows:
1. Will definitely get to watch everynight so it won't go wasted. My shifts are normally 1000-1800hrs, so I won't miss any of the Wai Lai Toi shows (unlike dada, who work shifts & might miss one or the other episodes, but dear, they have repeat sessions which u can adjust according to your liking..;)
2. Be updated on all the entertainment & fashion news around Hong Kong, Taiwan..etc
3. More topics for discussion with frens & family members

After eating our take away lunch, we went down to enquire more details. The salesman just needed us to fill in the form & a copy of IC, that's all. Dada just pulled out his IC for the salesman to help fill in the form. I was surprised (don't even need to think, so "soon tan"). "Huh, da, u don't need time to consider?" "No need la, it's worth it for my dearest angel to be happy!" *yessss....wink wink*

1818 WiNs 1st PriZe!

Received a call from my mum around 10.30PM last nite just as Dada was getting ready for work. It was quite an odd hour to get a call from my mum. However, it was a call delivering GREAT NEWS!

The previous day, I called her to tell her about Dada's & my new room number. I asked her to buy 4D as both Dada & I don't. Was thinking if it's good luck, might as well share it with those closest to me.

My niece told me, "Gugu, popo has something to tell u" and she passed the phone to mum:

Mum: B, the number u gave me struck 4D, u know? (I thought she was joking)
Me: Come on mum, seriously, is it true?
Mum: Of coz la, or else y would I call you so late at nite? I called just to tell you the news!
Me: Really? Which number was it?
Mum: 1818 la..Ah Fui's (dada) number! Your number didn't come out.
Me: Waaa..really? How much did u win? What number came out? (in what sequence)
Mum: The exact number 1818! Me? I won few thousands la..not much
(Dad in background) Tell her, it's not enough to cover their car plate number 9714 that I have been buying everyweek since July!
Me: WOW! That's great!
Mum: Yeah, so u can expect a treat when you guys are back (in a lower tone) You know ur dad, don't worry about what he said. He's just as excited & happy as me!
Me: Hahaha..can't wait for the GRAND SEAFOOD FEAST in 2 weeks' time when we go back..

Wow..we have been really lucky recently...just hope that Lady Luck will stay with us forever..

ReCenT HaPPeNinGs...

Candid Camera Target
Last week, I was "targetted" twice for random snapshots taken. Went to a Crystal Exhibition opening on the 29th of Sept. There were several photographers there to cover the launching. Suddenly, one came up to me & asked me to pose beside a giant piece of crystal. Not sure which newspaper he is working for, I hesitated (especially when the situation made me feel more embarassed than proud as all my fellow colleagues were laughing at me!)

Then, there was this SMILE campaign going on around the workplace. Our in-house photographer was walking around, snapping pictures randomly & I happened to be caught! Further more, he didn't tell me he decided to use that photo to be put in a "Hall of Fame" of smiling employees..Felt so embarassed, the picture wasn't the best pic of me & I HATE it being put up there!

2 Choices of New Love Nest
22-37
After months of eager anticipation, finally we received an official announcement to draw lots for the newly built units for Asst Managers. I have been waiting for it as I realised I should be better off staying alone. Not that my current roommates are unbearable, it's just that due to our difference in shifts & lifestyles, they somehow or rather always wake me up when I'm in Dreamland. I get woken up easily by the slightest sound. Hence, it's good news that these units are single rooms & I don't have to share.

Not really sure what to wish for, I just picked a number from the lot. 22-37, hmm..not too bad, my fav number 7 is there. My unit is quite far from the lift. However, I'll get to enjoy the peace & quiet (hopefully) as not many would be walking past it.

18-18
Next, Dada's turn to draw. There was a large crowd, much larger crowd than the female session the previous day. Earlier on, I wished for a room totally opposite from mine so that we'll get 'the best of both worlds'. But then, Dada wished for the most auspicious Chinese number..the best in the whole building (18-18).

When his turn came, we were both excited. Sure enough, he picked the BEST number from the bowl - 18-18..the whole crowd WOWed us....was sooo happy! We were the center of attention in that room from the second dada's number was announced. We were just so happy that we didn't care much. But wherever we go or whoever we walked past, there's the remark "wah..u got 18-18" Both our wishes came true as his room is on the opposite end of mine 4 floors lower & facing a different view. So, this is our selected new Love Nest...

Dada, how come u r always so smart & lucky? - to be able to pick the BEST number in the whole lot...just as u picked the BEST girl (ME) among all the rest more than 2 & a half years ago??

oN LeaVe...

Had more activities lined up as compared to my usual on leave=stay in bed till late, charge battery. Well, this leave was more eventful, as this was what happened:

23rd Sept:After work, went straight to Ipoh for Yuki & Michael Wong's wedding. Was raining so heavily on the way down our beloved Genting's hill slope that I almost gave up & ask Dada to stop the car by the side. However, he went on, more cautious than he already was..and continued on..Dinner was OK, however, this is the 1st time that I arrived at a wedding with neither the bride nor the groom available at the reception to welcome us...made us look like a bunch of hungry ghosts who can't wait to go in & attack the food. We were on time, not early...mind u..the invitation says 7PM..however, no one was there to welcome us...what a COLD reception...well,could go on & on about the wedding..however, I'll just shut up & take mental notes on what NOT to do when it's my own Wedding...;) After the wedding, drove straight back to Taiping. Stopped at Tai Hu to watch the MATCH OF THE WEEK: MAN UTD vs CHELSEA. We were both damn tired, but I had to accompany my Dada watch his fav Man Utd in action. Sat beside an elderly couple..well, looks like the wife is accompanying her husband to watch the match as well. I asked Dada, "Would u like it if I would still accompany u to watch EPL matches here when we're that old?" He replied, "Of coz, dear.."(with his eyes fixed on the screen..making sure Giggs completed the pass) He didn't even realise it was a trick question. I shot back "What about the 42-inch plasma TV in our "living room" that u promised? Why wanna watch matches out here when u can enjoy it at the comfort of our own home?" Hmm..speechless..
Lesson: I'm still quick even when I'm damn exhausted. Don't try ur luck with me...

Queuing for Chau Kway Teow

24th Sept:Jalan-jalan cari makan with Dada, Jennie & Douglas in Penang. Hahaha...had heaps of fun, especially the ride to Balik Pulau..have never seen a traffic light in control at a sloppy, narrow road before. It was fun, going to the town area(which reminds me of Tamparuli town back in KK), searching for a shop called "Lam Kong" just for its signature Asam Laksa...which was ok...Next stop, went to a "Lorong Selamat" for a plate of "Chau Kway Teow". It's recommended by a book that Jennie had in hand, map to all the best food in Malaysia. It even had a photo of the stall with the auntie in action, which looks exactly like the pic above. (With the same red chef hat & glasses) U have to queue up to order & get ur food, some found out in a sacarstic way:

Customer A: Auntie, 2 plates chau kway teow, send to the table at the corner.
Auntie: Can, can..queue up first, look at the line behind me.

Customer B: Auntie, this line is for getting the food or ordering? Can I order now?
Auntie: Can, can queue up first & wait for your turn to order.

Super Lan C..I think the uniqueness is that it tastes different as compared to other "Penang Chau Kway Teow" coz she fried it with charcoal instead of gas.

Next, took a break from all the eating to a bit of walking around. To me, it means "shopping" but dada turned it into "window shopping". Didn't buy anything at all...which is really not the real "ME". Then we headed to a place selling "tau sa peng" with 150 years of history. They had a cool "Chinese Dynasty Emperor Chair" which I just can't miss the chance to grab a photo with Jennie.

Jennie & I as Empress & Kwai Fei

Last stop: Gurney Drive. Wow...the water..hardly visible, but the food..incredible. Tried many varieties..which was great...Penang is really a food heaven!! OK...time to lose weight from now on...

25th Sept:There's a fun fair in Taiping town. Dada & I headed there after dinner at Pizza Hut. The fair sorta transformed us back to our childhood days. We played, laughed & screamed like little kids..The luckiest thing that happened to us that night was at the booth for exchanging tokens, someone dropped a RM50 note. Didn't notice it at first, dada saw it first. "Da, someone dropped money, quick, pick it up!" I was still blur blur, was expecting perhaps a few cents, or RM5 note at the most. When I looked down..RM50!!! WOW..I quickly grabbed it. The guy queuing in front of us must have seen it too...as it was practically right beside his boots..but too bad..I got it first!!!

Dada having fun

Then, we went on 1 of those fun rides..the one that turns round & round ,up & down..we got into the act of being little kids again...we screamed & screamed...hahaha...it was so much fun...a great way to release stress as well..Then, with our lucky RM50 note, we bought 3 DVDs, & a bag each to end the day.

PaRiS FaNtaSy

Wow...received some really nice pix of Paris Eiffel Tower..somewhere I would loooove 2 visit..however, always remained in my "dreams" section & never really took the initiative to learn more & earn (SAVE) more $$$ to actually materialize it...

Remember I used to study introductory French in my Hotel Management course..the French lecturer was a nice lady..very "Parisian" in her dressing styles..was able to still maintain her standards & accent even when she has been living in Sydney for quite a few years b4 teaching @ my college.

I remembered how she "forced" us to speak real French French (well according to my then roommate from Melbourne , she said "just sound like u r trying to clear your throat each time u speak & u'll be fine") We had to pronounce each word so clearly & specifically "French way" that it's really tiring..1/2 of the time, we don't even know what we are saying as we normally just learn it by heart...hahaha...

Really enjoyed French class actually..to think that I'm actually learning the worldwide recognised "Language of Love" is really something. However, sad to say, since there's 0 practice after my 2 semesters learning French, I can't remember much..:(

DaDa ProMiseD Me a ShoPPinG SpRee..

The lovely shoes that's a MUST HAVE

Can't wait to get off work...as my dada promised that I can buy whatever I want..he won't interfere, he will say everything looks nice on me, won't bother about the price & let me buy whatever I like!!YiPPeee...

Since I get annoyed easily these days (due for AV soon), he suggested that we stop by at Koong Woh Tong for a cup of "5 FloWeR TeA" each..so nice of him?? Perhaps not really, as he knows that I tend to buy more if I'm moody (we gals call this retail therapy)..so, ensuring that I'm in an OK mood will mean that I'm in a more rational state of mind & NOT buy that much...hmmm...smart..smart...smart guy with an even smarter GIRLFRIEND (ME!!!) who could figure out what he's up to...

BUSY BUSY BUSY..

Have been really busy for the past few days. Luckily had a couple of nice colleagues to fight the war with me..With this I am actually going insane. Need to get off work ASAP to relax for a change. Getting really stressful @ work. Am trying not to let that idiot influence my mood..however, with what happened recently, I don't know what I can do to make this a little bit better...or do I want to at all?? I seem to be very demotivated when I come to work. Whenever I see him, I feel myself boiling inside. Why does he have to be so annoying, irresponsible, irritating, dumb..the list goes on & on & on...

I really can't find anything 2 like in him as someone I need to work with. I just pray & pray & pray really hard that either he OR I leave in very very near future...

ConTinue 2 B on GoD's TabLe

The 2nd half of this happened 2day. I had 2 remain silent & not tell out the whole TRUTH as I had 2 save some idiot's face (who really isn't worth me saving, but sigh..that's life). I had to swallow the whole "Dead Cat" & look unprofessional, dumb, dunno what I'm doing & can't understand instructions from superiors.

The most TL part is that, that idiot had the NERVE to remark "it's not fully her fault, she's just 2 soft in handling the situation". Helloooo....IT WASN'T MY FAULT AT ALL!!!

What can I do? To everyone else, in their opinion, I'm the incapable one, the dumb one..but what they do not know is that..I have already consulted that idiot (my so-called boss) & he confirmed to go ahead..A HUGE DEAD CAT TO BE SWALLOWED BY ME ALONE...Well..so be it, as long as I know the whole truth, God knows & people who know me well, they believe me...That's all I ask for... AMEN!

DaDa's GiFt foR Me

This is what I got from my Dada..who just arrived safely back at my side...love him so much..he's the only one who can make me happy again..the only who can help me up again when I'm down...thanks da..for loving me so much...Muakkksss...love u forever!!

This is really a pleasant surprise for me. Didn't think he'll buy this 4 me. However, his explanation is that he knows I'm upset & he couldn't be by my side at those times, hence this is a little something for his ANGEL (me!) How could I not love this guy??
