WeeKenD without DaDa

This is yet another weekend with Dada having to be away. I have to be a good girl & ensure everything is at its usual place & spot clean. I don't want him coming back having to stress on getting this & that cleaned. Or else...next time he would be dreading to come home..

So, early Friday morning, he gave me a peck on the cheek & said goodbye. In a sleepy mode, I said goodbye to him too. Later on when I woke up to get ready for work, I saw this in the toilet..

Friday, Saturday, Sunday..
He had 3 toothbrushes prepared with toothpaste on, meaning to say he'll be away for 3 days. The day I pick up the last brush to brush my teeth..he'll be back...Isn't it sweet?? I miss him sooo much...

With him away, on Saturday I went for a Girl's Night Out with 2 cute girls who could make me laugh like crazy. We laughed throughout dinner @ Pizza Hut. Laughing at everything that we see & could think of. It's sooo much fun being with them. They just remind me of little girls who have nothing to worry about in life.

Actually we laugh more than we eat. With all the laughing, in no time I feel like I have digested everything. We took a walk around, also snapping some pictures for fun. We tried to look serious & not like fools so that we'll have nice memories of the night as well.
It was indeed a fun night & for nearly 3 hours, I forgot all my stress & worries. Thanks, gals for a fun night out.

Next day, we went on our trip to Macau. Departed KL at approximately 1445hrs. By the time we arrived, it was evening around 1930hrs when we reached our hotel, which is at the centre of everything. Had a quick dinner and went around snapping pictures & abit of 'researching' on the many casinos around town. No wonder people call Macau "Asian Las Vegas". True to its name, the whole place is brightly lit & so colourful and fascinating at night.

I did a bit of homework & went around applying for membership cards at all those BIG NAMES. 1st stop was Grand Lisboa, then Wynn & MGM Grand. Of the 3, I'm most impressed by Grand Lisboa..coz of the simple fact that the staff actually pays attention to details..and was courteous enough to wish me..HAPPY BIRTHDAY! How can you NOT wish some Happy birthday on their birthday? I ALWAYS do that when I was at the frontline meeting guests previously...way to go..100 points for Grand Lisboa.
Wynn & Grand Lisboa

Day 2 was spent around Macau. Did not visit the casinos anymore but to those MUST GO places such as the ruins of Saint Paul & a bit of shopping around. There's this really nice Cinderella carriage at our neighbouring hotel Grand Emperor Hotel, so, this little princess would just HAVE to take a pic with it.

Circle surrounding us = Everlasting Love

At night, I was especially excited as I have made plans to meet up with my college mates Evelyn & Christy! Meeting up with those girls were GREAT!! I felt nothing has changed at all after around 6 years since we last met. It was a great night as we chat on & on about the old days, our group of friends & just basically catching up. They took us to a Portugese restaurant & had a wonderful meal. It was their treat as a belated birthday dinner for me..so thoughtful of them!

After dinner, they took us to their pride & joy...Venetian..just the place I would love to be at to continue my little survey. Venetian was really grand! It just makes Genting feel soooo little & NOTHING compared to them. That place is HUGE & beautiful! I just LOVE the place. the Venetian Gondolas there are much much better than the one in poor First World Plaza. Gosh...I just feel soo ashamed. Hence, I tried to refrain from talking about Genting with them. So malu...Of coz, we applied their membership card as well. Just for the fun of it.

Day 3, we decided to spend it at Hong Kong..how can we NOT go over to this shopping heaven, right? After some research & pointers taken from Evelyn at dinner the previous night, we decided to first shop around Mong Kok. Wow..the streets are so busy & those familiar red taxis from all those TVN Drama series, just make me feel soo damn excited! My best buy for the day? A pair of white boots..Dada: a Swatch Skin watch.

Next, as agreed, we went over to Central via the really damn fast MTR. After getting off, we walked a short distance to the Peak Tram. Bought the package tickets inclusive of return tickets for tram, entrance to Miss Tussauds Wax Museum & The Peak to watch the view.

The tram ride, is about the same as the ride up Penang Hill. Once we get off the tram, one floor up is the entrance to the wax museum. There's almost celebrity from all sorts of different angles. There's the political heroes: the British Royal Family, Saddam Hussein, Gandhi, Lee Kuan Yew, Lee Ka Shing. Hong Kong celebrities: Leo Ku, Kelly Chen, Jackie Chen, Cecilia Cheung, Andy Lau, Twins, Leslie Cheung, Anita Mui, Leon Lai, Jay Chow, Michelle Yeoh. Sports Heroes: Yao Ming, Ronaldinho, Beckham, Tiger Woods. Hollywood Stars: Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Pierce Brosnan, Marilyn Monroe. Music Talents: Beatles, Motowns, Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue.

We had sooo much fun striking poses after poses with those real life lookalike figures. We did alot of silly things & had great laughs. It was really memorable..

Next, we took the escalator up several floors to see the famous Hong Kong city view. Well, sure enough it lived up to the expectation of all viewers. None were disappointed by it. The view was breathtaking & we purposely planned & timed it right to watch the city slowly lit itself up after dark with beautiful lights on the city skyscrapers it is so famous & well-known for.

Day 4 is back at Macau again. We woke up quite late as we got back from Hong Kong almost around midnight previously. We were tired, but won't waste our precious time sleeping.

So, we set off, shopping around Macau again, & dropping by the places that we missed previously. There's really nothing much for me, but Dada managed to get a really cool jacket which I knew he LOOOVED from the moment he set his eyes on it.

We took another walk to the ruins of St Paul taking another few pics, just to ensure that we get the BEST pic together. Then, we went to try out the really famous Portugese tart that is a MUST TRY for all tourists to Macau. It's really nice, but really expensive as well, around RM2 for a normal sized egg tart in Malaysia. Ouch..but it's worth it..just for a taste & experience.

Another cool pose b4 starting the day ;)

Day 5..haha..guess where did we go? None other than back to Hong Kong for another round of shopping. This time, we took the ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui as that's where we are heading for a pic with the Clock Tower & also the very, very familiar harbour view that appeared in countless TVB drama series.

To make the place even more attractive, they built the "Avenue of Stars" there. It's an imitation of Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Names that appear here? Leon Lai, Andy Lau, Anita Mui, Jacky Cheung, Aaron Kwok, Cecilia Cheung, Tse Yin, Chow Yun Fatt, Maggie Cheung, Eric Tsang, Tony Leung, Leslie Cheung...etc a mixture of Hong Kong's old & new generation of celebrities.

After that, we spent several hours around Tsim Sha Tsui. Then, we took the MTR to Causeway Bay for more shopping and at last, we took the ferry back to Macau again for our final night of the trip. Again, the best buy for the day: a Swatch Skin watch for ME & a digital photo frame for US to put in those wonderful memories.

It was a really wonderful trip..the best so far..after Langkawi, Brunei,Phuket & Bali. Since Air Asia have started to fly direct to Hong Kong beginning May 2008, I foresee more trips to Hong Kong. I won't be bored of Hong Kong, Dada said he'll take me there again next year..I hope he'll remember what he promised me. Planning to take my whole family as well, if possible. But don't worry, Da,I'll definitely remind you every once in a while...hahaha..I'm pretty sure. Thanks dear..for a wonderful trip as one of my birthday present(s). Hehe..;) Loove ya..

I SuRViVeD!!!

Wow...It's a miracle that I survived 2 months straight without a day of rest at all! Gosh...how did I do that & what are the consequences?

1. Drop Dead Tired
2. Mentally & Physically Exhausted
3. Bad Temper Getting Worse

Luckily, I have my Dada all this while to be by my side. He's always there to support me & calm me down when I'm pissed off. Gosh...I would have gone insane & long been admitted to Tanjung Rambutan if not for my dearest Dada.

So, after checking out today..I came back & slept & slept...I'll have to catch up on my beauty sleep & ensure that I'm at my BEST to celebrate my Birthday & enjoy our trip...yippeeeee!!!

HaPPy NeW MoNtH

Happy New Month everyone! Yes..this is the month to be excited..coz this little princess will be celebrating her birthday soon...hehehe

Actually, I was about to sleep, however..I suddenly remembered what Dada told me so I HAVE to do this now. He's away again for the weekend to standby at another location. So, I miss him like hell..not sure if he misses me? Anyway, if he does, he can always read my blog..(that's the reason I'm blogging now).

Hmm..actually, I have something to talk about here. I was busy doing some 'research' on something with the TV on E! News, the THS was on Nicole Kidman. Hence, it came across her wedding with Keith Urban in 2006. The wedding location looked sooo damn familiar..and I realised...it's actually the college I attended in Sydney! Yeah, it's a very, very unique building & a beauuuutiful place. When I was studying there, it's known as International College of Tourism & Hotel Management (ICTHM) but they renamed it recently to ICMS - Internatinal College of Management, Sydney...:(

I remember almost every weekend back at college, there's bound to be wedding receptions. We students get the chance to work part time doing waitressing & bartending jobs to earn some money those days. (But I've never done that..coz I mostly spend my weekends getting drunk, shopping, visiting other great locations in Sydney &..well, those are the things you do in college, right?)

I remember watching 2 movies using our college as a filming location too. One was Muriel's Wedding & the other one was Looking for Alibrandi (we watched this during a "Movie Night" at college too..& we were very proud of the building that we live, eat, sleep & study in).

Yes, I have imagined having my wedding reception there too...but then it is just going to be a dream..as I'm no Nicole Kidman & I can't possibly just whisk my friends & families in Malaysia off to Sydney & have this dream wedding..but in a more realistic way..I HAVE thought of going back there with Dada..to show him the place I spent 2 wonderful years at..a place that helped me grow & be who I am today; the place I spent my most vulnerable & difficult days as I was a little girl, who first got the taste of being away from home & learn to be independent; the place I met many, many wonderful friends from all over the world...those were the days...how I wish I'll be able to meet them again one day...I really miss those days, whenever I think back, I feel like it happened in another lifetime...but once in a while I will be reminded that they are real as I log in to my Facebook account and see their faces again...:)

Magnificent view..ICMS
