ipoH GiFt

In my previous blog, I talked about going to Ipoh & by the time I'm done over there, I'll be on my way back home to KK. But before that, let me share something with you.

I reached back at Genting at around 2 o'clock in the morning. Dada was at the lobby to welcome me & carry my stuff back to our room. Then as I open the door, there's something waiting for me again! You know what is it?? A portrait of ME!! But the degree of likeness is only around 90%. I look MUCH prettier in person...wahahaha...

What a nice & thoughtful gift..something that I didn't expect at all. Dada said he'll buy me a gift to welcome me back each time I'm away on those WorldCard Fairs. Well..but nothing beats having Dada by my side. I don't wish to be away from him at all... :(

oFF to IPoH

Before I even have time to spend properly with Dada, I'll be off to Ipoh again for yet another fair...sigh..

But looking at the bright side, after I'm back from this trip, I'll be off with Dada to be back in KK for our pre-marriage talk..yippee...then it'll be a full throttle of events leading to our wedding..which we still have yet to set the date...hehe. Of course, not forgetting..being home with my beloved family..Daddy, Mummy, BaoBei & Dada..HOME..going home feels soooo good!

With all these sweet, wonderful things happening, nothing will ever ruin my mood. I actually won't give a damn about anything that will stop me from enjoying the best time in my life. The stage where one only goes through once...with the one I love, who also loves me back equally, or even MORE..Whatever we do, it's for OUR future...

Here's to our future..forever & ever 1314, for better or worse, till death do us part.. (warning: this is NOT my official wedding vow, OK..)

Hi, I'M BacK fRoM MeLaKa..

Arrived back in Genting quite late from Melaka, around 3 in the morning. Just in time to watch the last few laps of the 2008 last F1 race. Can't believe what really happened in the last lap of the race! How could it happen? I bet you most of the Ferrari fans out there couldn't believe it too! & to me, there should be some investigations done on what actually happened there..looks fishy & suspicious..

Anyway, away from the F1 world, which is beyond my control..Had a crazy weekend working at the fair in Melaka. The response was better than I expected. I'm glad & proud of it! Didn't have time to actually shop around, which was a shame as it has actually been around 5-6 years since my last visit to Melaka.

Need not to say, there wasn't time to pick a really nice gift for Dada. But I found this, which is actually nice, cute & meaningful all together. It's a box of Lou Po Beng & Lou Kong Beng. So cute, I couldn't resist to get it. (But don't expect me to eat it though..haha)..& you know how I managed to get it on those really, really busy days? On my way to toilet, the stall selling this caught my eye, then after I'm finished with my business in the toilet, I picked up a box on my way back to our booth. Hahaha...Poor thing..but better than nothing...Dada loves Lou Po Beng...& I got 2 boxes of pineapple tarts for him as well...see..he's always on my mind..I really love & miss him

Lou Po Beng + Lou Kong Beng
Back home in 1818, Dada gave me a surprise, which is quite sweet too. The laptop was on with a note on the screen for me. It says: No arrows this time but look behind the door..I turned to see a cute heart-shaped decoration with a WELCOME & a little house. It's telling me that I'm HOME. It is welcoming me back to my home...so sweet..

But I don't like the Cristiano Ronaldo poster that it's hung on..Spoils the whole look... :-p

Welcome Home..

aWaY fRoM DaDa

Sigh~~this weekend is another weekend away from Dada...all coz of work commitments. A trip to Melaka - the historical city awaits me & 3 other colleagues in the team. Hopefully, the response will be as good as the previous one. 3/5 of the team who went to Johor Baru will be reunited to fight this war. Hopefully, with a new combination into the team this time, it will be even better!

I know when I'm not around Dada, the best thing to focus & concentrate on is work. So that I don't have the time & chance to miss him...hopefully we'll be very busy with work & in no time, we'll be on our way back...Da..I'll surely miss you like crazy...Muaksss...wait for me to be back!

MiSS asTRo ChiNeSe InTeRNatioNaL 2008

Last nite, had great fun at the Arena of Stars watching the 2008 Miss Astro Chinese International live with 2 of my great friends from work. It was actually sort of a last minute thing but I think all 3 of us were happy it turned out to be a great nite out for all...:)

It was actually the 1st time for all 3 of us to watch a competition as such LIVE. The atmosphere was great & there was a huge crowd. We nearly had difficulties finding seats. Luckily, in the end, everything went well & we had great seats right in the centre & could see everything.

Overall, the contestants were a great bunch. In terms of looks, not even one was really WOW gorgeous but..cukup makan la...Several of them were of average height which really surprised me. I thought in order to compete in a beauty pageant, you must have the model looks & height. Haha..either that is no longer IN now, or Malaysian standard is like that one la...

The host & hostesses for the nite, Lam Tak Weng, Chui Ling & Rachel Tan were entertaining too. Though Rachel was a bit stiff, perhaps maybe it's her first time hosting a live show like this. The more experienced Chui Ling was cute & humorous. The other great thing about the show was the theme. There's this never-ending story on Save the Earth, protect the environment & stuff..the theme was actually a good thing as through this, more people would widen their knowledge on the environmental issues. Can't believe there could be such ignorant people nowadays, since the awareness is actually everywhere if one actually chooses to listen & do a part. Well, don't be surprised if one walks out into the street with totally NO idea on how he/she could help to do a part..

Well, I'm proud to say, I AM aware & AM doing my part. I use less plastic bags, totally agree & support on TESCO's move to encourage customers to re-use their TESCO plastic bags & earn extra points on their TESCO Club card. I go out shopping with a woven bag & stop the shop assitants from wrapping my purchases with extra boxes or packaging. See...it's easy! They are small, small things that you could do in daily life that could actually MEAN something..so people...start doing it!

Now back to the show..(sorry for getting too carried away with the environmental issues..haha)As the competition was divided into several parts, with interviews, talent shows, swimsuits & more interviews, it was really entertaining. The most unforgettable part was Kelly (Contestant #10, who eventually became the winner) performing her imitation of Michael Jackson in the talent part. It was an awesome performance! Not surprising, she won that category as well. She performed well in the interview sessions, & has the slimmest waistline of 22 inches! My goodness..(I feel sooo guiltily fat now!!)But unfortunately, I don't buy her looks. She doesn't have a WOW pretty face at all!!

But overall, it was a great girls' night out..so who cares about who actually won??Hahaha..

The 10 finalists

Top 5: Queen (5th); Li Naa (2nd runner up); Kelly (Champion); Lyn (1st runner up), Carine (4th)

ThaNks eVeRyoNe, ThaNks DaDa

It has been 2 weeks since the proposal. After updating my status & uploading a pic of my engagement ring in Facebook, both of us have been showered with blessings & congratulatory notes. I feel so happy, complete & 'hang fook'. I really Thank God for giving me the BESTEST lou kong that I can ever find or wish for.

After the days that we have gone through together, I really KNOW & CONFIRM that he is the one for me. The one I could rely on in no matter what situation, the one that is worth my love, trust & attention... ;)

I have to constantly remind myself, to NOT take him for granted, to treat him to best & not to show my temper at him. I know I am quick-tempered, have little tolerance & very impatient. I like to get moving & want things done quick. Most of the time, he is very tolerant & will do according to my liking. However, there's respect in the relationship. I do let him make decisions, include him & listen to his opinions in everything that requires MAJOR decision making. I believe it is a healthy relationship that we are maintaining here. A relationship that we have built thus far, & will continue to learn to understand, live & love each other.

During our off days, we went to Seremban to meet up with dada's friend & also to have a look at our bridal house. We went took off on Wednesday & coincidentally, it's a tradition for all Seremban Bridal houses to have their off days on Wednesdays. It is clearly stated on the name card that was given to us. However, we didn't notice it till we were actually almost THERE. I think dada was expecting me to show temper again, how could he be so careless & didn't notice that...hahaha...but I was in a good mood..& I AM seriously trying to control myself NOT to show unnecessary temper at him. I should learn to appreciate & cherish the good moments that we have. Small things like that should not affect the good spirits & mood that we are in. See...I'm learning to be a good wife.. :-p

I AM A GOOD WIFE..

THe 1010 pRoPoSaL

10th October, 0100++hours: A very magical, historical moment in our lives. He proposed! After waiting for sooo long...he finally did it! It wasn't what I initially had in mind of my dream wedding proposal. I had always wanted a grand, romantic one where it must be in public that he goes on bended knees, slip the diamond into my finger, completed with flowers..with a huge public watching with envious looks...

Haha...but last night, I realised, a quiet moment with just the 2 of us is ALL that matters. Actually, our conversation leading to the proposal, was very meaningful. I was talking about how I felt so insecure, coz of a comment from a friend who recently broke up. She said at first, she thought that distance is always a problem in a relationship. But then, not now coz she & her ex-bf have been together in the same place & see each other everyday. At the end, he still left her & they still can't maintain their relationship. So, after pondering on this, I agreed. We shouldn't take things for granted and when things change, means there's no point in hanging on to it. Doesn't mean that you see that person 24hours a day, nothing will change; or that out of sight will definitely equal to out of mind.

Also, partly it's because for the past week, we have not been able to spend much time together due to work commitment. Here I am just back from Johor Bahru on Monday night, we only had Tues, Wed & Thurs before he had to leave me here all by myself to standby at KLIA for this weekend...:(

So, just suddenly, he took out the ring & said: "I wanna propose to you now, I want you to stay by my side forever, & I promise to stay by your side, taking care of you, loving you 1314. Be mine forever.." & he slipped the ring onto my finger...*sniff*sniff*

I cried..& we hugged each other tightly, never wanting to let go...

I couldn't sleep after that..too excited to feel the ring on my right ring finger...I love you, Dear..
