Happy MotHeR's DaY - PearL or DiaMonD?

Yessss...as it's known worldwide, yesterday was Mother's Day. So, being the lovely daughter, I wanted to call mum 1st thing in the morning, right after I got off work (midnight shift). But then, wanting her to sleep in, didn't have the heart to wake her up as early as 7am.

So, I went back, took a shower & 'wasted' time FB-ing before picking up the phone to call her at 8am. But then, she didn't answer after 2 tries...so I gave up & went to bed.

Woke up at around 4.30pm & first thing in my mind that's UNDONE is to call her. So, I tried again & again, no answer. Then I tried calling Baobei's number instead. Baobei said she's home alone while mum took the day off playing mahjong at a friend's place. Baobei said she'll be back any minute coz daddy just went over to pick her up. So I chatted with Baobei, feeling deep inside that I miss them sooooo dearly! I have not been home since the BIG DAY!! & we're celebrating our 6-month Anniversary this 28th! Gosh!! Time really flies!

So, just as mummy stepped into the house, I got Baobei to pass the phone to her. Wished her Happy Mother's Day & told her I miss her...so so much! She said, "Miss you too, dear!" & then, this conversation between us was so nice, that I wanna remember it forever:

Me: Mum, can I ask u something? Am I your 掌上明珠?? (Got the idea from TVB's latest series)
Mum: What do you think is my answer, my dear?
Me: Errr....I think I'm not your 掌上明珠, but your 掌上钻石!!
Mum: Yessss!! You are right! You're always mummy's precious diamond!! Everyone knows..Even your Uncle John said that on your Wedding Day!

Awwww....so sweet....miss you & love you so so so very the muchie, Mama...See you next month!

2010 NeW YeaR GiFt..

Today, I got a very nice gift to start off the new year. A colleague of mine, knows that I like Raymond Lam & I was quite disappointed that I didn't get to see his concert right here where I work couple of weeks back. Hence, he got me his CD collection with his autograph! So nice of him...Thanks, Mr A!
Listening to his LIVE CD was better than nothing..hehe

So, since someone did something nice to me, I wanna pass around the good & kind spirit too..& thought of doing something nice for Dada...

Actually, I have thought of doing this since last night. I want a nice surprise waiting for him when he comes back from work...so I chose some of our nice pics from the wedding, & developed them into hard copies so that I can put it on display in a photoframe that a classmate of mine gave us as a wedding gift. But since there are only 2 slots to put, I chose the most suitable ones & the rest...I will just stick it up at my work cubicle..so that I have some sort of MOTIVATION when I work..haha..So, voila...Love it!!

mY PReCiouS HANG FOOK ZHI WAN

For those of you who have watched Gem of Life...yes the super duper long TVB series...you'll know what the hell I'm talking about here. In one of my previous post, I mentioned I'll upload all our lovely pics taken in Hong Kong & Macau. But then, I've decided against it. Coz..there's nothing to be excited about...EXCEPT this valuable buy that I got from Hong Kong. Hahaha..

I loved every bit of the story about this gorgeous ring in the series. The part about 2 persons' hearts sticking together..(thus this ring actually consists of 2 RINGS that only look good when worn together...if you wear it separately..it won't look good at all)..about this wonderful thing called LOVE in life. Once you've found your true love, you'll live happily ever after..this is called HANG FOOK...thus, this ring is named HANG FOOK ZHI WAN..

I never thought it's something that's REAL in life. I thought it's just another made-up story in those TVB series. I didn't know it really exists in the market. So, what a pleasant surprise I got when I saw this shop called MA BELLE..which was also part of the series...then when I walked in..I saw this poster about HANG FOOK ZHI WAN!! Hahahaha...& of course...need you ask some more?? OF COURSE I bought it....& felt the power of 'hang fook-ness' it brings to me each time I put it on...hahaha...this will definitely appear in my wedding pics...stay tuned!!

aStRo WaH Lai Toi DRaMa aWaRDs

Last Saturday night, this miserable place that I work at called City of Entertainment came to life when we got the honour to host the annual Astro Wah Lai Toi Drama Awards. More than 10 TVB artistes came all the way from Hong Kong to this award presentation ceremony.

Being the TVB queen that I am since young, of course I wouldn't miss this. Especially when a few of the artistes are my idols; namely Raymond Lam, Moses Chan, Joe Ma, Bosco Wong, Tavia Yeung & Linda Chung..wow wow wow...

So I rushed back to get ready after work & went off with a few of my buddies, those that I know I will have a good time with. & surely, we had a great night. It was soooo much fun...I feel like a crazy teenager idolising them..being in the atmosphere of all those screamings & yellings made me feel young & high!! Hahaha....I feel that I can blend in there with the crowd...so, I'm not old at all!! It was so cool to see them all in real flesh & blood right in front of me...Joe Ma was sooo handsome...Raymond Lam too...& Bosco..Ron Ng...ALL of them!! The ladies..pretty, slim & sexy..but too bad my favourite among all favourites...Charmaine Sheh didn't come :(

Anyway, here's a few pics that I managed to snap on that night:

Tak Tak Dei with Dai Kai & Sai Kai
Ma Tak Chung...look over here la..damn!
Goon Ga Zhai...my favourite among all..so handsome!!!
Raymond Lam & Linda Chung..favourite on screen couple
The cast of Heart of Greed
Tavia Yeung receiving her award

Thought that was the end...on my way back, we just so happen to bump into the crowd waiting for the artistes to return back to their hotel rooms. Gosh...it was way past midnight but look at the crowd!! Anyway, managed to catch another glimpse of the whole group as they head back after a meal at THE OLIVE. The crowd went CRRRRRRRAAAAAZY...but I managed to snap pretty Linda with Shirley Yeung Sze Kei behind her...

Sheung Joi Sam.....Yu So Chao!!!!!!!

HaPPy BiRTHdaY to my BLOG!!

Hey there blog C'est Moi is 1 year old!!!

It's just unbelievable how time flies by sooooo fast!! I must be getting old too..but I hope I age gracefully..wuahahahaha...

Of course, besides wishing my blog happy birthday, I would like to share my TVB fever. As mentioned in the previous blog, I'm soooo into Moonlight Resonance that all I dream about is to have lots of children..give them a warm, harmonious & loving environment to grow up in. I want all my kids to be united together, to help each other out..to be warm & caring just like in the series. It's all so warm & touching. I never thought of wanting so many kids...to me..3 is more than enough..but then after watching this series..I feel so warm & good that I'm beginning to think that 3 is too little & not enough 'noise'. Hahaha...It must be so much fun growing up in a big family with lots of siblings.

I have always been independent & a little 'lonely' growing up nearly 'alone' with an elder brother who is 10 years my senior. The feeling is very different.

I might now start thinking of nice names for them..what would be a good Chinese name which is in sequence for 3 siblings? Just like the series, they used 家好月圓慶中秋. What should I use? This might take a while for me to think as my Chinese is not that good.

For English, I like the idea of all my kids having an English name either starting with the same alphabet, or names that rhymes:

1. Nicole, Natasha & Nicholas?
2. Ariel, Gabriel & Daniel?
3. Nelson, Jason & Susan?

Might probably not look for names that are too long, as it won't balance with their surname..SIM...;-p

a JouRNeY caLLeD LiFe

Weeks back, I have been absorbed with a TVB series that really touched my heart. The story plot was simple..so simple that you could really relate it to real life & the people around you. It's definitely one of the BEST TVB series that I have watched all my life. It had a mixture of ups & downs in life, greed, sex, family values, the cruel working world, social life...everything.

Towards the last few episodes, I cried like hell..it was soooo touching. How 2 people love other so much, but had to go through so much hardships to be together; how one tried so hard to turn over a new leaf, but is affected by previous mistakes done; how the guy tried so hard to be the best..best son, best husband, best brother..but still had to go through disappointments after disappointments in life.

The theme of this series..relating marathon as our journey in life..is really cool. Once you start this marathon race, you cannot let others influence & affect you (just as in life). There was a part, after Steven Ma lost his child & the many, many unhappy things that came bombarding him..he wanted to give up. Linda Chung as his wife, continued to support him.. and said, "No matter what, I'll walk beside you till the end of the road, I know you won't disappoint me, see you at the end of the race. I know you will catch up"..it's really touching! She continued on the race when he stopped & refused to go on..he sat by the side of the road..and suddenly a little girl came walking to him..like an angel sent down from heaven..the child he lost..coming to him to tell him not to give up..and said to him " Why did you stop? Are you tired? Drink some water, rest a while & continue on the race.." Gosh...blogging this now made tears flow down my cheeks..It's like telling him, no matter how tough it is, how frustrated you are in life, yes, you can stop & cry & mourn & everything...but then, after that, wipe all the tears, stand up & continue walking...

Life goes on no matter how tough it may be..once the bad, unhappy things are gone, the good times will come again. Meeting all these tough situations is just part of life to help us grow & be tougher. The most important thing is we should learn something out of it, to not give up and carry on in life. For those lucky ones who have loved ones by their side supporting them, should be thankful & recover faster, toughen up themselves and not make those beside them worry.

Gosh..this is sooooo good! It's a must watch for all! But then, whether you get the meaning of the story or not..is up to you..
